Class CA - Hairdressing and Manicuring is a 1500 clock hour program that will qualify you for examination for licensure in the domains of hair, skin, and nails. This program takes approximately 50 weeks to complete.

Collection of what is included in student kits - hair styling tools and accessories, including brushes, combs, scissors, curlers, a blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, hair clips, mannequins with different hairstyles, and various hair care products.

Course Outline

  • Shampooing of all kinds – 40 hours
  • Hair coloring, bleaching, and rinses – 130 hours
  • Permanent waving and relaxing – 125 hours
  • Haircutting and shaping – 130 hours
  • Hair setting, pin curls, finger waving, and thermal curling – 225 hours
  • Comb-outs and hair styling techniques – 105 hours
  • Anatomy – 20 hours
  • Scalp treatment and diseases – 30 hours
  • Facials, eyebrows, lash dyes, and arches – 40 hours
  • Manicuring, hand and arm massage, and treatment of nails – 110 hours
  • Cosmetic chemistry – 25 hours
  • Sanitation and sterilization – 30 hours
  • Salesmanship and shop management – 10 hours
  • State law – 10 hours
  • Misc lectures, test review, orientation 470

Cost of kit and books are due by the student’s first day of class. If the student is eligible via financial aid, they will receive some or all of this cost back as a credit balance. 
A non-refundable application fee of $100 is due when student completes application.
In-house payment options can be paid via cash, check, or credit/debit card.
